Rip currents to be an issue at Central Florida beaches

Gearing up for a hot weekend, rain increases for work-week

ORLANDO, Fla. – More humid air with a few clouds is projected for Friday in Central Florida into the weekend.

A few more clouds will roll in for the upper levels of the atmosphere on Friday, Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

"Much like Thursday, there will be those high thin clouds that the sun will filter through," Bridges said.

Temperatures will heat quickly out of the 50s and 60s into the upper 80s for inland areas.

Along the coast temperatures will be in the low and mid 80s with a light breeze.

Rip currents will be moderate for Friday into the weekend.

Rain chances will only be at 10 percent for Sunday afternoon as we heat up a humid atmosphere.

Highs stay in the upper 80s into Monday.

Rain chances increase with a new front to 30 percent on Monday and 40 percent on Tuesday.
