Report of gun on campus puts Timber Creek High on lockdown

No one injured, no gun found

ORLANDO, Fla. – Officials put Timber Creek High School on lockdown Friday morning after a student reported seeing another student with a gun on campus, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the school at 11:10 a.m. No other students reported seeing a gun.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the school to search the campus and common areas. No weapons were found, deputies said.

No one was hurt.

Students said police officers and fire trucks were at the school.

The school sent a message to parents that law enforcement officers were searching for a suspicious person in the area.

Officials said a student had an unrelated health issue during the response. Deputies will remain at the school throughout the day as needed.
