SANFORD, Fla. - The Seminole County babysitter who is accused of turning her back on a baby who drowned in a bathtub pleaded no contest on Friday in court.

Investigators say Mariah Berry left the 8-month-old boy and his 2-year-old sister in a bathtub alone for an hour back in July 2012.

When she came back, the baby was found floating face down, according to investigators. The boy died several days later at the hospital.

Berry was charged with child neglect. She pleaded no contest to two charges and was found guilty.

The sentencing was scheduled for May 5.
