Sanford police release pics in shooting death of store owner

Police say people in video may have info on events leading up to shooting

SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford police released new pictures in the murder of a local store owner.

The murder happened on Dec. 23 outside Kim's Food Store at West Third Street and South Poplar Avenue.

The pictures are the first big break in the case since the shooting two weeks ago.

Investigators released three store security pictures of three people, who are not suspects, but may know something about what led up to the shooting death of Joshua Hur.

Hur owned the store and was a well-liked and important part of the neighborhood.

"He's just the sweetest person, so I was astonished, baffled that that happened to him," said Van Taylor, who heard the gunshots shortly after 7 on the night of the killing.

That's when Hur normally closed for the night.

Neighbors said they hope the three people come forward, adding that the store's customers were almost all locals.
