Family and friends of Yessenia Suarez gathered on Sunday to conduct their own search of the missing mother and her two children.
The family gathered around 9 a.m. Sunday at the Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo día de Deltona church, which is a Spanish Seventh Day Adventist church, to kick off their search.
Searchers broke off into groups to search wooded areas and local waterways around the home and area.
Volusia County Sheriff's officials said as of 5 p.m. Sunday, they are suspending all further searches by ground.
Deputies said they searched 12 miles and 20 bodies of water, but were unable to find any further clues in the disappearance of the family.
Deputies said the case remains open and very active as they continue to investigate.
Suarez's husband, Luis Toledo, remains in the Volusia County Jail on no bond, charged with second-degree murder in Suarez's death.
Toledo denied any involvement in the children's disappearances.
