SeaWorld Orlando's animal rescue team, along with several other stranding agencies, returned three manatees to the waters of Blue Spring Park, a designated manatee sanctuary, in Orange City Monday.
A sub-adult female and two sub-adult males were returned after receiving rehabilitation at SeaWorld Orlando for the last few months.
The manatees were rescued between Dec. 18 and Jan. 5 from the St. Johns River in Jacksonville due to cold stress.
The manatees, Sissy, Wallace and Bycatch, received treatment, including antibiotics, fluids and other supportive care.
SeaWorld Orlando has rescued three manatees in 2014 so far and returned four back to their natural environment.
SeaWorld animal experts have helped more than 23,000 animals in the last four decades.
