Local theaters participating in unlimited movie theater membership

ORLANDO, Fla. – How would you like to see to an unlimited amount of movies in your favorite movie theater for around $25-$35 a month? Sounds impossible, but with MoviePass.com memberships being accepted at local theaters, movie lovers can celebrate by seeing unlimited movies at a fixed rate.

MoviePass requires a year membership and a request to an invitation. Once you receive an invitation, you sign up for a reloadable debit card, which you use to select the movie you want to see and reserve a ticket.

The payment plan is described as an annual "gym membership," according to the website, requiring a yearlong membership with monthly fees.

According to the Movie Pass website, there are no restrictions or "blackout" dates and members are able to see up to one 2D movie per day. Currently the MoviePass does not allow you to get in to 3D movies.

Local 6 checked and the following theaters are accepting MoviePass:

  • Premiere Cinema at Fashion Square Mall
  • Enzian Theater
  • Orlando Science Center CineDome
  • Regal Winter Park Village Stadium 20
  • Colonial 6 Cinemas
  • Cobb Plaza Cinema Cafe

Stephen Cox said he sees about three movies a week, with the average ticket costing around $10.50, it quickly adds up to more than $30 weekly.

"I absolutely would seriously consider that," said Cox. "Absolutely, without a doubt."
