SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A Seminole County mother accused of killing her daughter before attempting to kill herself has pleaded not guilty.
An attorney for Sujatha Guduru entered the written plea of not guilty to first-degree murder last month, canceling her arraignment originally scheduled for Tuesday.

Guduru is accused of shooting her 17-year-old daughter Chetana in the face twice before turning the gun on herself.
Her lawyer says Guduru has a history of mental illness and has also said he may pursue an insanity defense.
