SANFORD, Fla. - The first formal recommendation for rezoning Seminole County schools could result in hundreds of students switching schools.
The recommendation, released on Thursday, involves as many as 1,700 students at 11 different schools in the so-called Northern Zone. The move is needed to ease overcrowding at some schools.
The Seminole County School Board will have the final say during a meeting on Feb. 25.
The school district also needs to make decisions on rezoning plans for the East and West zones.
