"We don’t have a lot of information,” Lt. Steve Sadoff, a spokesman for the Melbourne Police Department told Florida Today. “From what we understand, a car came by and shot off several rounds, striking a number of apartments. No one was injured,” he said.

The drive-by shooting is the latest in a spate of similar shootings to take place in recent months. Melbourne police were working to determine if there were any connections.

So far, there have been no arrests. In Monday's shootings, residents quickly called police but officers were unable to glean a definitive description of the shooter or the vehicle they were in.
