Orange County deputies investigate shooting

PINE CASTLE, Fla. – A 27-year-old man was shot Thursday morning in Orange County, deputies said.

Officials said Friday that Victor Hernandez was in stable condition after the shooting, which was reported at 10:41 a.m. at a Chevron off Oak Ridge Road in Pine Castle.

Deputies said Hernandez was in an altercation with Ramon SantiagoPagan, who shot Hernandez.

Hernandez was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

SantiagoPagan was arrested on a charge of second-degree attempted murder.

A gun was recovered at the scene, deputies said.

Nearby Oak Ridge High School was informed about the shooting but was not placed on lockdown, deputies said.
