Shot fired in Orlando home invasion

Police looking for 3 to 5 intruders

ORLANDO, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help in finding three to five armed intruders who broke into an Orlando home looking for money.

Orlando police arrived at the home on Yucatan Drive after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in reference to the home invasion.

During the incident, police said the victim and one of the assailants struggled over a gun and a shot was fired inside the home.

No one was struck by the bullet, but one of the five residents suffered minor injuries.

The intruders got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police said there were three to five, but no clothing or physical description was given.

Anyone with information related to the home invasion is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS. Orlando police said anyone with information could receive a cash reward.
