Shotgun used in Orlando carjacking

Orange County deputies find stolen vehicle; Search continues for 2 men

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two men were carjacked and robbed by two assailants -- one of whom had a shotgun -- outside an Orlando apartment, but the stolen vehicle was later found in the same complex, deputies said.

The carjacking happened early Monday at the Bellagio Apartments off Semoran Boulevard.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, two men were waiting for a third person at the apartments when they were approached by the culprits, who forced them out of the vehicle and stole their wallets and cellphones.

Deputies said the assailants drove off, but the vehicle was later found in the same apartment complex a few streets from the crime scene.  The carjackers are still on the loose, however.

No one was injured.

No other details, including a detailed description of the robbers, was released.
