SANFORD, Fla. - Sanford police are searching for the culprits they say shot at officers in an unmarked patrol car Tuesday night.
Police said officers from Seminole County Sheriff's Office and Volusia County Sheriff's office were patrolling with Sanford police in the 1900 block of Summerlin Avenue when gunfire erupted.
Police said three to four rounds were fired at the back of the car, with one shot striking the car. No officers were injured, according to the report.
Following investigation by the involved agencies, Sanford Police took three individuals into custody on unrelated charges and seized two rental vehicles believed to be involved in other shooting incidents.
