Smoke prompts evacuation at UCF science building

Issue contained to air handler, Orange County fire officials say

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida science building was evacuated Tuesday because of smoke.

Orange County fire officials said smoke was coming from the vents at the College of Science Building at UCF.

The problem was contained to an air handler, and there was not a fire, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
