Son of man found dead in Leesburg yard charged with second-degree murder

LEESBURG, Fla. - Lake County deputies have charged the son of the missing man found dead in his back yard with second-degree murder.

Jesse Jordan was charged Tuesday evening in connection with the death of his father, Jesse Wachter, adding to Jordan's initial drug charges.

Jordan's girlfriend, Jessica Thigpen, is still in custody on the initial drug charges.

The remains of Wachter, 63, who was reported missing since November, were found on Sunday at a home on North Lake Drive in Leesburg, located in the Mid-Florida Lakes retirement community,

28-year-old Jordan, and 28-year-old Thigpen, were arrested on drug charges  on Sunday after being found taking items from the home.
