For this time of year, Central Florida afternoons usually experience storms being pushed in by sea breezes which could be a problem depending on when the storms start, News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

“It all depends on what that sea breeze does, if it pushes inland before the storms fire up, that would be good,” Bridges said.

If the pattern continues of storms developing west of Brevard County, launch conditions should improve.

The California-based company will conduct a test fire of the Falcon 9’s engines Thursday night.

The rocket will deliver a 8,000-pound communications satellite for Bulgaria, providing television and data services to the region of Europe. The satellite will be the second to ever fly on a flight-proven rocket.

SpaceX will also attempt to land the Falcon 9’s first stage on the droneship, Of Course I Still Love You, in the Atlantic Ocean.

This previously flown Falcon 9 booster first launched and landed in January of this year.
