Damaged Eastern Range tracking equipment that prevented an Atlas V rocket from launching this week has also postponed SpaceX's planned Sunday night launch, Local 6 news partner Florida Today reports.
NASA confirmed Thursday morning that the launch was delayed "due to a range asset issue."

No further information was available on a possible new target launch date.
The Air Force's 45th Space Wing so far has not responded to questions about the range equipment.
The problem was first disclosed Monday night as an instrumentation outage, hours after an Atlas V rolled to its pad with a National Reconnaissance Office satellite in preparation for a launch the next day.
That rocket will return to its vertical processing tower this morning, and is targeting a launch no earlier than April 10.
SpaceX had already delayed its mission, the third under a $1.6 billion NASA resupply contract, for two weeks after suspected contamination was found in a Dragon spacecraft's unpressurized trunk. The company later said the Dragon was cleared to fly in that condition.
