SR 417 reopens after fatal semi truck crash in Orange County

ORLANDO, Fla. – State Road 417 has been reopened in Orange County Friday morning after a tractor-trailer crashed into an SUV at an exit ramp overnight, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.

Troopers said the SUV was driving eastbound on SR 50 when it drove onto the center median, collided with a sign and  into the north roadway, hitting the semi truck right on the ramp to SR 417 late Thursday night.

The investigation caused the ramp to be shut down for hours into Friday morning.

Troopers said the crash killed the driver of the SUV, R Bruce Blake, 42, of Orlando.

A cause of the crash hasn't been released.
