ORLANDO,Fla. – Scott Gregory Campbell, known by police as the Playboy con man, was arrested and charged with rape, sodomy, assault and tampering with a witness in December 1988 while serving in the U.S.Army, state records show.
State records obtained by Local 6 indicate that Campbell was confined for two years under court martial. After serving that time, he was released by dishonorable discharge.

Campbell's criminal record reveals a checkered past, with charges ranging from assaulting an officer to unlawful possession of a firearm.
The records also note a series of restraining orders dating back to April 2007.
Investigators say Campbell started his alleged entertainment investment scheme in Florida in 2003.
The state investigation reports that from January 2009 to present, Campbell has "victimized in excess of 20 women in the state of Florida within Orange, Seminole, Lake, Marion, Pasco, Brevard and Port Lucie counties.
The state estimates losses to exceed $1million. Campbell's most recent relationships came from online dating sites.
But state investigators say Campbell also targeted women in casinos, shops and "various other places under the pretense of selling and investment opportunity."
Campbell has no Florida property in his name, and no Florida driver's license.
He has been known to live in Kissimmee at a home on Snapdragon court.
Campbell declined a request from Local 6 for an on-camera interview .
In a recent voice message to one of his alleged victims he said, "I will have my day in court.."
His arraignment has been set for next Tuesday before Judge Jon Morgan.
Campbell is being held on $500,000 bond.
