ORLANDO, Fla. – A stolen van caught fire after a driver ran over a couch early Thursday, forcing officials to close a major Orlando roadway.
Orange Blossom Trail was closed near Colonial Driver around 3 a.m. after the driver ran over the piece of furniture, which was in the middle of the roadway.
The driver ran away after the van ignited, but he was apprehended by police.
Three officers were taken to a hospital because of fumes from the fire. They were treated and released.
OBT reopened a short time later.
No other details were released.
