ORLANDO, Fla. - The burglars left no drawer or cabinet unopened when they turned one Orlando woman's apartment upside down on Thursday.
The woman doesn't want her name published because she's scared of the criminals who broke into her apartment at Venue Apartments on Central Florida Parkway in Orlando.
Her jewelry box, her roommate's laptop, cameras, and iPhone accessories gone.
The crooks hit three apartments at the complex on Thursday, and according to Orange County Sheriff's deputies, they are part of a string of apartment burglaries in the Hunters Creek area.
Investigators believe multiple people are involved, and they say all the burglaries start out the same way, with forced entry.
Residents got a letter for the management office two weeks ago, warning them about the break-ins.
"I didn't really think much of it, I thought that it was a secure place to live and that I was safe," the victim said.
Investigators say they are following up on leads, but have not made any arrests in this case.
