BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Strong storms rolled through Brevard County Saturday afternoon prompting a tornado warning at one point.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning after radar indicated the rotation of clouds around 4:45 p.m. in Titusville, officials said.
The storm weakened as it moved past Interstate 95 and the warning was taken down about 20 minutes later, officials said.
Around 5:20 p.m. rotation in the clouds was noticed in the areas of Cocoa Beach and Rockledge but a warning was not issued, officials said.
Heavy rain and lightning covered the area, but no damage was reported.
