Students OK after pepper spray discharged on Orange County school bus

Fire rescue officials called to scene

ORLANDO, Fla. – Dozens of children were examined after a student apparently discharged pepper spray on an Orange County school bus, officials said.

The incident happened Thursday morning near Murdock Boulevard and English Street in Union Park.

According to officials, up to 45 students were aboard the bus, which was headed to Riverdale Elementary School, but none was harmed.

The students were transferred to another bus and taken to school.

Orange County Public Schools said the students were all checked out by medics and are all at the school. The students' parents were notified and officials say they're interviewing students to find out what happened.

No other details were immediately known.
