SUMTER, Fla. – The deputy chief of the Sumter County Fire Department was arrested Tuesday on allegations that he molested a juvenile.

Brad Burris was arrested on four counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. He has since been fired from the Sumter County Fire Department.

On Tuesday, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office met with the Department of Children and Families about a complaint that Burris had inappropriately touched a juvenile over the last four years.

Sumter County Sheriff's Office detectives interviewed the victim and later met with Burris, who admitted to the allegations, officials said.

Burris is being held on no bond.
