ORLANDO, Fla. – Coffee drinkers are willing to give up sex, alcohol and Facebook for a year to hold on to their caffeine fix, according to a new survey.
The survey, conducted by Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, polled coffee drinkers in the U.S., China, India and United Arab Emirates.

More than three-quarters of people surveyed said they would sacrifice sex, alcohol or social media web sites before giving up coffee for a full year.
Some coffee addicts can't operate in public without a cup in the morning. Sixteen percent of drinkers surveyed said they couldn't talk to anyone before having their first cup of coffee.
The survey also found:
- 58% prefer to drink coffee to relax
- 73% would give up television and internet at a hotel for a perfect cup of coffee
- 51% feel they could last longer without sex than without coffee
