Most of us are pretty attached to our mobile devices. So what would it take for you to give yours up while on vacation?
A survey commissioned by SpringHill Suites by Marriott asked 1,048 adult Americans across the nation what they would give up in exchange for a hotel discount.
In exchange for a 25 percent discount, only 85 percent agreed they would give anything up at all.
Of that 85 percent, 54 percent of adults aged 21 or older would give up alcohol, but when asked about giving up mobile devices, only 26 percent said they would ditch their tablet or smart phone.
Only a very small percentage, 13 percent, said they would give up their cameras while on their trip.
Now, when asked about social media, only 43 percent would stop logging on websites like Facebook or Twitter for the discount. That could be because most of those adults said they liked seeing people "like" or comment on their vacation photos and statuses.
