Suspect in 15-year-old's Pine Hills shooting asks to be let out of jail

Tyrone Mosby asks judge to be let out on bond at hearing

ORLANDO, Fla. – A judge rejected the bond request on Wednesday from the man accused of shooting a 15-year-old girl in her family's van in Pine Hills, leaving her in a coma on life support.

Tyrone Mosby, 19, asked a judge on Wednesday to be let out of jail on bond on his charges of attempted first-degree murder. One charge is for Danielle Sampson's injury and the second for his intended victim in the other car. He has previously been arrested on charges of attempted murder, robbery and aggravated battery.

Sampson was hit by a stray bullet while riding in a van with her family on Power Drive and North Lane on July 31. Investigators said it was crossfire between two oncoming cars.

Sampson's family was in court Wednesday morning.
