LAKELAND, Fla. -

Lakeland fire officials are investigating multiple fires believed to have been intentionally ignited in Walmart on Monday evening.

The four small fires ignited inside of the North Lakeland Walmart at 5800 Highway 98 N in the front and back of the store just after 5 p.m., according to fire officials.

The fires were partially extinguished by store employees and caused around $2,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.

Customers were evacuated and the store has since reopened, but the sections affected by the fire remain closed.

Surveillance video allowed investigators to identify a male juvenile as the suspect. The investigation is ongoing and anyone who has information about the fires can contact Fire Investigator John McGrath at 863-205-6694.
