Tanker overturns, spills 7,500 gallons of diesel fuel on Orange County road
Traffic backed up for miles while emergency responders clean area
A portion of South Orange Blossom Trail was closed on Friday during rush hour traffic after a tanker carrying 7,500 gallons of diesel fuel overturned at the intersection of Taft-Vineland Road.
The southbound lanes were closed for one to two hours while the fuel company transferred the fuel into another tanker, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.
A small amount of fuel was spilled but was controlled by Orange County Fire Rescue hazardous materials squads.
The driver of the tanker sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, according to OCFR.
