Target to debut prepaid mobile service
Available beginning Sunday
Target is the latest store to offer a prepaid mobile phone service plan.
The plan, called Brightspot, is available beginning Sunday.
Customers will be able to select a prepaid plan, with T-Mobile as the carrier. The news release from Target said you can choose from a $50 per month plan, which carries unlimited talk, text and web with up to 1GB of 4G data.
You can also opt to pay $35 a month for just talk and text. Both options come with no annual contract.
You can choose one of a specific line of phones that will be available in stores, or you can opt to keep your existing phone. You will just need to purchase a SIM Kit, which will allow you to get the service on most unlocked, compatible phones.
Target is even sweetening the deal-- for every six months of paid Brightspot service, the store will send you a free $25 Target GiftCard.
If you have one of their REDcard credit cards, you can also get a 5% discount each month.
