2 teens caught after stealing $600 puppy, police say

Officers still searching for 1 person

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Police said two 16-year-olds were caught after stealing a $600 Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix puppy Sunday.

According to the Orlando Police Department, the puppy was stolen around 1:10 p.m. from a pet store at 2515 East Colonial Dr. by two males and a female.

Police said a citizen helped direct them in the direction the girl fled. She was found hiding in a yard a block away from the store.

The two 16-year-olds were caught in connection to the incident. Police are still searching for the third person.

Police said the puppy was located and returned unharmed.
