ORLANDO, Fla. - An 18-year-old man was critically injured early Monday when he was stabbed in the chest during a fight at an Orlando nightclub.
Demontruis Abram, 19, was arrested on charges of attempted felony murder and aggravated battery in the stabbing, which happened just after 1:30 a.m. at Bar One on South Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando.
The teen who was stabbed was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was listed in critical but stable condition, police said. His name has not been released.
Witnesses described the moments after the stabbing as chaotic.
"There was just a mad rush for the door before I knew what in the world was going on," said Levi Reed. "I saw the victim maybe about 10 seconds later and he was bleeding a lot."
Abram was arrested and taken to jail.
The motive for the fight was not known.
