Teen to be charged in shooting at Orlando basketball court

ORLANDO, Fla. - The teen who is accused of shooting another teen while playing basketball  last month will be charged, according to authorities.

Takim Rashad Neal will face charges of robbery and aggravated battery after police said he accidentally shot 16-year-old Mario Whitehead in the shoulder, paralyzing Whitehead.

Neal is currently being held on a $20,050 bond in the Orange County jail.

Neal, 17, was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed firearm, improper exhibition of a dangerous firearm, discharging firearm in public, possession of a firearm by a minor and culpable negligence causing injury.

The shooting occurred at Willie Mays Park in January.
