ORLANDO, Fla. -

The grandson of TG Lee was arrested Friday after a yearlong investigation into a fatal crash led to him being charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.

Thomas Gilbert Lee II, the grandson of the local farmer who built a Central Florida dairy legacy, was arrested at his Orlando home earlier Friday.

Florida Highway Patrol says in 2013, Lee ran a stop sign and hit a van, killing Katherine Townsend and her 9-year-old son.

He was booked into the Orange County Jail.

Local 6 previously reported on Lee's case in its investigation into the backlog on vehicular homicide cases that take nearly a year to complete.
