Marion deputies search for man who tried to lure boy into pickup truck

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff's Office is asking people to be on the lookout after a suspicious incident. 

A boy was walking home from his bus stop in Lake Tropicana when he was approached by a man in a white late 90s model pickup truck. The man allegedly told him to "get in the truck."

According to the news release, the man may be in his late 40s, with a brown jawline beard and medium-length, brown, curly hair. His truck is said to have camouflage seats, with a deer sticker on the back window of the driver's side. 

The MCSO is asking residents to be on the lookout for the man and be aware of their surroundings, especially in the southwest area of Marion County. If anyone sees the man's vehicle, they are asked to call 352-732-9111.
