Aquatica's Big Tease
SeaWorld's water park is continuing its social media push to raise buzz for its 2014 addition.
They were hoping to make a splash by using #NothingTaller on Twitter yesterday announcing something this morning at the precious time: 9:10am on 11/12/13.
I have to wonder what this teaser campaign really is getting them.
The "announcement" came on Aquatica's Facebook page.
Don't strain your eyes, It reads "Get ready to brave a watery free-fall at Aquatica Orlando's all-new water thrill slide coming in 2014 - Ihu's Breakaway Falls. The drop slide will be the tallest, steepest and only multi-slide ride of its kind in Orlando.
The slide is named after Ihu, Aquatica Orlando's colorful gecko, who searches for the biggest thrills, steepest hills and the coolest spills in the waterpark."
Then a link to a YouTube teaser video (embedded below). This is the second teaser video for what is basically a new slide.

Three People drop out of sight n early simultaneously -- plus the attraction's logo and the #NothingTaller is back.
Now I get that social media pushes have become a big thing with our local parks. Universal famously used FaceBook for its Transformers announcements. But I know from experience hearing from our news viewers that no one loves a tease.
Here's what Aquatica's sister park did with social media instead for its 2014 attraction.
Water Country Safari at Busch Gardens Williamsburg posted on its page a YouTube video that actually shows the ride and you hear from the designers on why they think Colossal Curl will be a thrilling addition.

They also posted a link to a web page on the new slide.
Which approach gets you more excited about these new attractions? I know my answer.
