Thousands expected in Downtown Orlando for June 24 events

City of Orlando puts out transportation advisory in preparation for Saturday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Thousands of people are expected in Downtown Orlando on Saturday, June 24, for a day full of exciting events.

From TEDxOrlando 2017 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to the Mascot Games at the Amway Center to the Orlando Pride match at the Orlando City Stadium, Downtown Orlando will be packed.

And the City of Orlando has sent out instructions and advice for how to have a stress-free day on the roads while ensuring safety and time-saving options.

In addition to the map found below, the city of Orlando has also set aside recommended parking locations for each event. Visitors can purchase a pre-event parking slip, a pre-event parking at the Geico Garage or find parking using the parkIN' app or Parkmobile.


Starting off Saturday's events will be the "PAW Patrol Live!" The event will be taking place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Following will be the TEDxOrlando 2017 event, which will also be at the Dr. Phillips Center, starting at 2 p.m.

The Mascot Games will start at the Amway Center at 2 p.m. with the Orlando Pride match ending the day's events with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. 

There will be several road closures coming into Downtown Orlando, with detour signs posted before and along the routes.
