WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – A 1-year-old girl is recovering after nearly drowning Sunday in Winter Springs.
Police were called to a home at 1007 Gator Lane at approximately 5:50 p.m. after the toddler was found floating on the surface of the swimming pool at her grandparents' house.

A 14-year-old who was at the home jumped in the pool to get the toddler out. That's when the toddler's great uncle, who is a certified EMT, began attempting to resuscitate the child.
The child was transported to the hospital where she is reported to be in good condition.
