Traffic Alert: Road closures for 4th

With tons of fireworks displays around Central Florida comes road closures and traffic jams for the Fourth of July celebrations.

  • Red Hot & Boom on July 3 at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs draws 200,000 people every year. Attendees are urged to pick alternate routes that flow away from the Interstate 4/ State Road 436 area. The event starts at 4 p.m. and runs until around 10 p.m., with traffic flowing regularly by 11:30 p.m. CLICK HERE for a traffic flow map and to find alternate routes.
  • Fireworks at the Fountain on July 4 at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando will bring road closures starting as early as 7 a.m. The event runs from 4 p.m. til 10 p.m. CLICK HERE for a full map of road closures. For parking information, click here.
  • July 4th Extravaganza in Deltona on July 4 will run from 6 p.m. til 10 p.m. at the Dewey O. Boster Sportsplex. At the end of the Fireworks Extravaganza, traffic exiting the park onto Saxon will be "right turn only", heading east towards Providence Boulevard.   • City of Cocoa Beach 4th of July Weekend Celebration runs July 3, 4 and 5. July 3 is at the Cove at Port Canaveral, july 4 is Riverfront Park in Cocoa Village and July 5 is along the beach at Cocoa Beach. CLICK HERE for more information.
