ORLANDO, Fla. – The estranged wife of U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson has voluntarily dropped an injunction against her husband less than two weeks after accusing him of shoving her.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department decided not to pursue domestic violence charges against Grayson after viewing a video taken by Grayson's staff of his dispute with his wife, Lolita.
"Ms. Carson-Grayson has apparently dropped the petition for injunction that she levied against the Congressman last week, and will no longer pursue a restraining order against him," a statement from Grayson's office read. "Ms. Carson-Grayson's complaint was voluntarily dismissed today."
Grayson and his wife are in the midst of getting a divorce.
"For the sake of all the parties involved, we sincerely hope that this concludes Ms. Carson-Grayson's efforts to misrepresent and exploit the family's private affairs," the statement from Grayson's office read.
Rep. Grayson, who's known for making controversial statements, was first elected to Congress in 2008 but lost his 2010 re-election bid.
He ran again in 2012 and won.
