ORLANDO, Fla. -

UCF has gotten accustomed to playing on big stages this season and it continues with a trip to American Athletic Conference foe Louisville.

The eighth-ranked Cardinals host the Knights Friday in a game that could go a long way in determining who ultimately winds up with the league's Bowl Championship Series berth.

The Knights are hungry after coming up short in a home matchup against South Carolina and just besting Memphis in their conference opener. But they have a stiffer challenge if they want to improve on their 1-25 mark against ranked opponents.

Along with Heisman candidate Teddy Bridgewater on offense, the Cardinals are tops in the nation for scoring defense and rank second in total defense.

They also have the American's top scoring offense, averaging 41 points per game.
