A car is burned in a UCF garage.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Authorities continue to investigate a vehicle fire in a parking garage on the University of Central Florida campus.

UCF officials say the fire was reported Thursday afternoon in Parking Garage A, near the University Boulevard entrance to campus.  The fire was extinguished and the garage later reopened.

Six vehicles were affected by the fire, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

UCF sent out an alert to students asking them to stay clear of the area.

Two cars were 50 percent involved and four others were damaged by flames, Fire Rescue said.

No injuries were reported. Initial reviews indicated no structural damage to the garage.

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
