UCF student arrested for child porn

Kevin Estrada, 20, active in raising money for children's charity

ORLANDO, Fla. – Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested a University of Central Florida student on Thursday on ten counts of possessing child pornography.

According to his arrest affidavit, Kevin Estrada, 20, was taken into custody after a three-month-long investigation by FDLE agents.

They served a search warrant at the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity house on Darwin Drive Thursday morning, and they said they searched Estrada's bedroom.

Inside, they found his computer, where they reported finding 10 files depicting children engaged in sexual activity. Investigators said one of the children appeared to be as young as 6 years old.

News 6 waited for Estrada outside of the Orange County Jail Thursday night as he bonded out. He had no comment.

On Estrada's Facebook page, News 6 found him to be actively involved in UCF's Knight-Thon, which is a dance marathon designed to raise money for the Orlando Children's Miracle Network.

On his fundraising page, he listed himself as the captain of his fraternity's team for the event.

Estrada's fraternity brothers did not want to speak about his arrest Thursday night, but the national organization of Zeta Beta Tau did confirm Estrada was expelled from the organization.

"Zeta Beta Tau has a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal activities," Executive Director Laurence Bolotin said. "As such, the chapter took immediate action and expelled the student."

News 6 found out Estrada may also face disciplinary action at school. According to the student handbook, possessing child pornography is against the code-of-conduct.

It will be up to the university to decide the course of action, according to the handbook.

It will by up to a jury to decide if Estrada is guilty.
