UCF students start sweet delivery business
College students deliver cookies on campus after hours
It happens to many college students, late-night cravings for munchies. Now, there's a business that caters to them.
The delivery business is called MidKnight Munchies, and it was founded by two college students at UCF, seniors Matthew Anderson and Allan Adzima.
The business started with an idea, which became a booming business.
Customers call to place an order for the cookies or brownies they are craving, and in 30 minutes or less, they are delivered to their doorstep for a flat rate.
"We had several people when we first opened that ordered 45 straight nights in a row. We are definitely seeing some loyalty," Adzima said.
Adzima started the company with Anderson about seven months ago.
"We had no idea what it would be like. We averaged between 45 to 65 orders a night," Anderson said.
They admit being owners of a business at such a young age has its challenges, but they say it's well worth the sacrifices.
"The amount of connections, cool people we meet and cool places we've gone -- it's an amazing experience that's opened up so many doors," Adzima said.
An experience behind every door that has these students wanting more and hoping the take the business to colleges nationwide.
The owners said they plan to soon expand their business to fried foods.
MidKnight munchies is open from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday 8 p.m. to 2 p.m.
