Convicted felon Jerry Tyson stabbed Steven Lang, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police have identified the victim on Thursday of a fatal stabbing at an Orlando McDonalds on Christmas night.

Police said Steven Lang, 52, was stabbed by convicted felon Jerry Tyson, 38, who was released from jail less than a week ago on aggravated battery charges.

Tyson, has been charged with stabbing Lang after a fight ensued while Lang was paying for his order at the McDonalds at John Young Parkway and Colonial Drive at around 8 p.m.

Police said Lang and Tyson started fighting after Tyson tried to grab money from Lang, who refused to give it to him. Tyson then stabbed Lang in the abdomen and took off running, according to police.

Lang died at the hospital. Tyson was found in a wooded area nearby
