BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – In the never-ending battle between cats and dogs, you can score the latest round for our feline friends.
A video out of Bakersfield shows a family pet coming to the rescue of a little boy being attacked by a neighborhood dog.
The surveillance video of Tuesday's incident begins by showing the dog stalking the boy, who was riding outside on his bicycle.
When the dog grabs the boy's legs, the family cat, named Tara, runs to his rescue and chases the dog away.
According to KERO-TV in Bakersfield, the boy received a few stitches but is doing fine.
The dog is now under observation.
