OCOEE, Fla. – A Florida man who has been arrested for driving under the influence half a dozen times is behind bars accused of leading a state trooper on a high speed chase.

47-year-old Ossie Irvine faces a number of charges after the latest incident.
A motorist called 9-1-1 just after 1 a.m. Sunday saying they suspected a driver of driving under the influence on Florida's Turnpike near Ocoee.
A trooper waited in the median for Irvine's car to pass, and when it did he turned on his lights and sirens trying to pull Irvine over.
According to the arrest report, Irvine acted like he was going to pull over, but then hit speeds in excess of 125 miles per hour. The trooper says he saw Irvin's vehicle approaching other vehicles and feared he would crash into them so he turned off his lights and siren.
The trooper said in his report, Irvine then tried to exit southbound from the turnpike onto S.R. 429. He allegedly lost control of the vehicle and ended up crashing head on into a Lake County deputy.
The deputy got out of his vehicle and tried to detain Irvine, according to the report, and shocked him with his stun gun when he would not comply.
Irvine fell over the guard rail and slid about 50 feet down an embankment. The deputy and trooper went down the embankment to detain him. He's accused of elbowing the deputy when he tried to handcuff him.
He was finally arrested. The deputy says his breath smelled like alcohol, and when he placed him in the back of his cruiser his entire car smelled of alcohol.
Irvine allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer. The trooper says he also had a bogus tag on his vehicle. His driver's license has been revoked or suspended since 2002 according to the Florida Highway Patrol, including a 12-year revocation in 2008.
He has been charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, refusing a DUI test and a number of other charges.
His bond was set at $11,000.
