LAKE ATHENS, Texas – A 16-year-old fishing on a Texas lake caught a close call on camera when several bolts of lightning struck next to his boat.
Tucker Owings was out on Lake Athens fishing with some friends when a storm rolled over the area.
Suddenly, Owings says he started feeling "something like static" in his rods as he head back to shore. Before he could make it to the dock, several lightning strikes hit just a few yards in front of him.
Owings was using a GoPro camera and recorded the experience.
Owings tells CBS News he is thrilled with the number of "likes" his video is getting on his Facebook page.
