Video shows worker catching falling baby
Car seat resting on shopping cart tips over
A humble Home Depot worker is being credited with saving a baby's life thanks to his quick reflexes.
Chris Strictland, 19, was standing at the end of an aisle, waiting for customers who needed help. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a car seat on a shopping cart tipping over. Without hesitation, Strictland jumped toward the cart and grabbed the baby before the child fell to the ground.
"It actually brought tears to my eyes because he was able to be there for the baby," said store manager Brady Wilson.
Strictland told KTVA-TV the experience hasn't changed him at all and he's "still the same guy."
"It really speaks to his heart," Wilson told KTVA. "He's a great associate."
Strictland will receive Home Depot's "Angel Award," given only to those who show exceptional acts of heroism.
